- flew from Bordeaux to Bolonga then took the train to Florence
- WWOOF at Pulicaro, 20 minutes outside of Orvieto
- loved Rome
- Flew to Rhodes, Greece, then took a ferry to Fethiye, Turkey
- Turkey, August through September
- WWOOF at Yakabağ House
- WWOOF at Pastoral Vadi
- Meet up with Andrew's family for a vacation in Istanbul
- Dog and kitten sat in Istanbul for new friends we met at Pastoral Vadi
- Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, September
- After being rejected a working visa to volunteer in India, we pushed up our SE Asian travels
- Explored budget airfare hub Kuala Lumpur
- Happily joined the food bonanza at hawker centers in Singapore
- Cambodia and Thailand, October
- Flew to Bangkok from KL
- Explored, shopped and ate in Bangkok
- Volunteered teaching English in Khorat, northeast of Bangkok
- Adventured into Cambodia to marvel at Angkor Wat
- Bali, October
- Attempted to surf in Kuta
- Traveled to higher ground in Ubud after a tsunami and multiple volcano eruptions in Indonesia
- Philippines, November
- Toured around Manila
- Drooled in Boracay
- Learned to scuba dive in Dumaguete (our big splurge of the trip)
- back to Manila for holiday shopping (can't come home empty-handed after a trip like this!) and day trips from the city
